On the 17th of January 2023, the Mediterranean renewable Energy Centre (MEDREC), partner of SEACAP 4 SDG, the municipality of Bizerte and a Tunisian external entity “Agence Atmosphère” gathered to sign a collaboration agreement.

The National Workshop was organized on  10,11, 24 and 25th November 2022. It aimed at public actors, civil society organizations and social entrepreneurs and innovators based in the Manouba and Mahdia regions in Tunisia. The University of Jordan, with the support of IRIDRA, NAWAMED technical partner, organised two school camps at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday, 15 January 2023. 

More than 30 experts and professionals from the private and public sectors, including the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, water companies, and the Academia, together with more than 80 university students, attended the events.

National training on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) was organized by the Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale. This training brought together representatives from the public sector (regional and local administration, ministry…) as well as from the private sector (NGOs, professional organizations…). Participants got a clear framing of PPP on Small-Scale Fisheries sector and aquaculture in Tunisia and learnt more about the standards packages developed under FISH MED NET.

The Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale organized its 3rd round table about Public-Private Partnerships for the improvement of Small-Scale Fisheries and Aquaculture. This event was an occasion to discuss possible partnerships that can be concluded between public administrations and sea-workers, fishermen, for the development fishery sector under FISH MED NET project.

As ESMES focuses on the optimization of energy consumption in public schools through innovative, monitoring-based renewable energy and energy efficiency (REEE) pilot actions and on the improvement of capacities of public institutions in order to implement innovative energy rehabilitations, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), ESMES partner in Lebanon, is launching a call for tender related to the installation of REEE interventions for two public schools in Lebanon.
