The SEACAP 4 SDG project aims to contribute to fighting climate change by reducing energy consumption in public buildings across the Mediterranean.
To do so a training programme was also designed to maximise the knowledge acquired so far about effective building energy refurbishment strategies, to be adapted to local Mediterranean specificities and criticalities. This approach will support the identified cities and municipalities to adopt the results capitalised by the project in order to efficiently plan and implement energy renovation actions.
REUSEMED partners visit associations that promote the culture of reuse in Italy
During the first day of REUSEMED project meeting in Italy, an opening ceremony took place at the Palazzo Ducale Di Lucca in Lucca. The welcome speech was given by Mr. Giordano Del Chiaro, Capannori's councillor for the environment, and Mr. Massimiliano Massimelli, general coordinator of Fondazione Reggio Children.
After the opening ceremony, different presentations of the activities carried out in the framework of the REUSEMED project were made. Each partner presented the project's progress in their area as well as the next milestones to be developed in the future.

Plastic Busters CAP to deliver lectio magistralis about the impact of marine litter on the Mediterranean Sea at the University of Siena
The Lectio Magistralis given by Professor Maria Cristina Fossi, Professor of Ecology and Ecotoxicology at the University of Siena, as part of the Motumundi 2022 award, will take place on Friday 17 February at 11 a.m. at the Santa Chiara Lab of the University of Siena.
