REUSEMED highlights the reuse circuits developed in Jordan and Tunisia in its 3rd newsletter

Welcome to the third newsletter of the REUSEMED Project. In this new issue, we would like to highlight the official video of the project, which presents in a detailed and visual way the goals and achievements of it. Also, this time we are offering an update on the circuits that have been put into operation in four different cities. On the other hand, we also want to emphasize two news of special informative relevance: one related to Spain and the other with Italy. We are sure that this information will be of great interest to you.

Discovering the new ecotourism itinerary of MedArtSal in the artisanal salinas of the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park (Spain)

For decades, artisanal management of Mediterranean saltpans has made it possible to combine sustainable economic activity with environmental conservation, whilst promoting a typically Mediterranean cultural landscape. With the rise of industrial salt production, a large part of these saltpans closed down, partly due to their difficulty to compete with the prices of industrial producers.

REUSEMED in Spain organised a bicycle mechanics and repair workshop

The municipal sanitation company of Cordoba, Sadeco, one of the Spanish partner of REUSEMED, has organised a new edition of its bicycle mechanics and repair workshops as part of its educational program. The workshop, under the name of Repairing Café and with free registration, was held last Sunday, January 15, in the public school, CEIP Lucano -Cáñamo Street, 7-, from 12:00 to 14:00 hours.

The workshop included a technical inspection of velocipedes, tuning and basic mechanical tricks for bicycles.

DECOST: sharing the first results of the community composting pilot experience with the citizens in Basilicata, Italy

Last December, the DECOST project partners who are leading the implementation of the pilot experience about community composting in Basilicata, Italy, had a new opportunity to share the expectations of the new organic waste management system with local citizens. The presentation to the citizens of Atella was a significant opportunity to inform and educate the community about the new composters and the real-time monitoring tools that have been implemented to manage it.
