The ESMES Spanish partner, Consorci De La Ribera, organized two small local events to celebrate the end of the academic year and the completion of the ESMES project activities, presenting project results.

In the municipality of La Ribera (Valencia Region, Spain), 9 schools participated in the ESMES contest for the 2020-2021 school year:

The Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP), as lead partner of MedSNAIL, has held the final local event of the project in Almócita (Almería), a municipality belonging to the Andarax Valley region, pilot area selected by FAMP for the implementation of MedSNAIL in Andalusia.

The students are future professionals involved in energy buildings’ sector: to raise their awareness of the importance of sustainable energy behavior and reduce school energy consumption, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) organized a gamification-based contest for five public schools in Lebanon as part of the ESMES project:

Within the framework of the ESMES activities and according to the results obtained based on the evaluation criteria established in the terms of reference for the award of a grant by the Consorci de la Ribera, to a municipality for the rehabilitation of a public education centre in its municipal area; The Miquel Burguera Special Education Center in Sueca, which had achieved the highest score, was selected to be managed by the Spanish ESMES project partner because of its commitment to sustainability and energy savings.

The 2^nd workshop for the local community on the theme of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and Sustainable Tourism has been held on 13^th June at the Circeo National Park - Borgo di Fogliano - Villa Fogliano, (LT), Italy.

In this second meeting the key actors of the territory have been involved in the sharing of actions to be pursued to build an Action Plan on the tourist promotion of the UNESCO Circeo Biosphere Reserve including the presentation of a logo proposal.

Identified an interesting new response to one of the 19 challenges opened by the STAND Up!

IVE - Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación (Valencian Building Institute), partner of the SEACAP 4 SDG project (funded by ENI CBC Med Programme), which aims to reduce energy consumption in public buildings and promote the development of SECAP in Mediterranean municipalities, will host a free classroom-based workshop the next July 12th 2023 in Alicante (Spain), to report on the local situation of the Climate and Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SECAPs).
