Mediterranean Region - Get ready to applaud the remarkable sustainability achievers of the Mediterranean as the WeMed Award returns for its third edition. This prestigious award, powered by the RESET project, highlights the success stories of eco-conscious businesses and support organizations. It's a nod to those who are leading the way in creating greener, circular economies.

The Mediterranean is home to a rich eco-system of green entrepreneurs

The platform serves as a resource for technicians, water utilities, decision makers, researchers, Smal and Medium Entreprises (SME)s, authorities, and civil society, providing them with a space to explore adapted, innovative, and sustainable solutions. It is also connected to other platforms focused on non-conventional water reuse in agriculture and integrated development of non-conventional water resources, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.

MEDWAYCAP has introduced the Non-Conventional Water - NCW Best Practices Inventory platform (bpinventory.com ), which is dedicated to showcasing and promoting best practices NCW resources management. The platform aims to address water challenges in the Mediterranean region by capitalizing on innovative solutions and effective practices.

The RichWater project is an initiative funded by the European Union in the framework of the Fast Track to Innovation Programme (Horizon 2020).

From July 25th to 27th, 2023, the picturesque landscapes of Lebanon served as the backdrop for the second international forum of the CLIMA project, an initiative funded by the European Union to promote environmental sustainability and waste reduction in the Mediterranean region. The forum brought together partners from Italy, Tunisia, and Lebanon, uniting their shared vision of creating greener cities and fostering circular economy practices.
 

On July 10th and 11th, 2023, MENAWARA team participated in the final MEDWAYCAP conference titled "Water Strategies for the Mediterranean - Promoting Non-Conventional Water Solutions", which took place at the Barcelona Chamber Building "La Llotja del Mar" in Spain.

"Agriwatt Energy is an enterprise that aims to offer 'comprehensive and cost-effective alternative electricity solutions using renewable sources, particularly photovoltaics, in a sustainable, reliable, and ecological manner,' and contribute to environmental protection through the green production of electricity and the optimized collection, valorization, and recycling of damaged photovoltaic panels," explains Sirine Jammoussi, the young entrepreneur behind the innovative start-up.
