Job Description

Gadara Cycling is one of the small tourism projects recently established within the Umm Qais archaeological site in Northern Jordan to welcome local and international tourists. Lead by Alaa Al Akash, the business is now part of the CROSSDEV project’s network of tourism businesses working together in a joint approach to maximise Umm Qais' potential in offering tourists the best possible experience.

Following the clearance of the area in which the construction works are foreseen to take place, team members of the Regional Entity for Wastewater Sanitation and Treatment in Murcia (ESAMUR) and the Solar Treatment of Water Unit within the Plataforma Solar de Almeria (CIEMAT-PSA) in the AQUACYCLE Partnership, met on site for a first, informal meeting, with the representatives Jose Antonio Sán

The energy analysis of the "Palau de Calatayud", the Spanish pilot building of the BEEP project, will be carried out during the month of June. The work will be carried out by a local energy consultancy called Valnu, selected last May following the published call for tenders, and will be coordinated by the "Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación", the Spanish partners of the project.

The BEEP team has developed the document titled "Requirements for interoperable models, nomenclature and schemes to be used for the pilot actions". It gives an overview of the applicaitonof "Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM)" for the energy and environmental improvement of historical buildings.

The hotel industry in the Mediterranean at large, and Israel specifically, is one of the most important worldwide and continues to register significant growth. After a challenging year during the COVID-19 crisis, the Israeli tourism industry is now looking forward to renew its domestic and international success in the coming months and years. 

Step by step, the pilot experiences of the DECOST project are extending to all the regions where they are expected to be implemented. Following the success of the first months of operation of the Spanish community composting pilots in Les Masies de Roda and Vic, the Palestine pilot test has finally started. After a period of small-scale testing done under the technical supervision of the Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (partner of the project), the system is now part of the landscape of the towns in which it will be implemented, i.e.

A technical meeting regarding the assessment of the pilot actions foreseen in the SOLE Project took place on 26 April 2021. Pilots deals with public buildings and actions are aimed to improve their energy efficiency, through material interventions and raising awareness activities.
