The Green Wall for greywater treatment at the University of Jordan is one of the pilot sites of the NAWAMED project in Jordan. The type of green wall implemented in the University of Jordan pilot (Al-Zahra’a Dormitory), a so-called Nature-Based Solution (NbS), is the Green Facade, which is basically a vertical flow constructed wetland (CW) hosted in trenches along the building walls and planted with ornamental and climbing plants.

What is the SEACAP 4 SDG project?

SEACAP 4 SDG aimed to foster the integration of Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plans (SE(A)CAP) within a unified framework, guided by a shared vision, strategy, and assessment tool. This initiative sought to harmonize assessment and funding methodologies across the Mediterranean region, all in pursuit of sustainable development objectives within a technologically advanced society.

However, in 1979, a significant transformation occurred with the establishment of the Alexandria Water Company, which became a government-owned entity tasked with ensuring a consistent and reliable water supply for the region. This vital utility serves several key areas, including the Alexandria governorate, parts of Matrouh governorate, and the Behara governorate.

Most cities rely on the supply of their energy, water, and food from external remote sources. This is increasing their ecological footprint and making them vulnerable to shortages in supply.

The Region of Peloponnese, GreenBuilding Lead Beneficiary, completed the activities and works for the renovation of the regional building.

The installation of the photovoltaics in the rooftop of the building of the Regional Unit of Lakonia, with total Installed Power 99.64 kW is estimated to:

Produce more than 150.000 kWh /year
