BERLIN supports and engages with local communities on the importance of adopting sustainable energy behaviours
Prof. Erez Gal from Ben Gurion University visited the two pilot sites in Eilat and Eilot regions in order to supervise the installed metering and weather system equipment and speak with the school administration. The aim of the visit was also to raise awareness on the importance of adopting sustainable energy behaviours and discuss energy challenges of the school buildings.
MED4EBM in Lebanon trained on data monitoring to better understand effects of human activities on sustainable coast management
Under the framework of MED4EBM project, the Lebanese partner, Tyre Coast Nature Reserve (TCNR) organized its first data entry workshop and training on Ecosystem Based Integrated Coastal Zone Management Decision Support System “EB ICZM DSS” software. The workshop was conducted in presence in Tyre, Lebanon, in collaboration with the Project Lead Beneficiary (UNDP Jordan Country Office) and the Italian partner “Amici Della Terra Onlus”.

REUSEMED in Tunisia consults citizens to implement reuse circuits
The municipality of Sakiet Ezzit in Sfax (eastern Tunisia) and the National Waste Management Agency of Tunisia (ANGED), both partners of REUSEMED project, have started working on the design of the reuse circuits that will be built in the country within the framework of REUSEMED project. Specifically, in the last month they have carried out the research and analysis phase to identify the needs of the population and the demands of the economic and social agents involved in the project.
FruitFlyNet-ii in Italy raises awareness of students on the benefit of smart agriculture to the environment
More than 60 high school students from Campobasso region, Italy, attended the event "Green Deal & Great Skills" held on 6th of April at the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences of Università degli Studi del Molise - University of Molise.
