REUSEMED in Spain celebrates the value of books and encourages citizens to reuse them
Last weekend, the residents of Córdoba (Spain) enjoyed ‘El libro vive’ (The book is alive), a cultural event organized in the context of the Cordoba Book Fair, which included a theatrical performance, artistic workshops and characterizations of heroes and heroines from novels with the aim of illustrating the value of books and encouraging their reuse.
The initiative, which was part of the activities programmed for the REUSEMED project and was promoted by the Lead Beneficiary, Sadeco, was divided into three parts:
REUSEMED in Spain will train unemployed people in mending and adapting textile objects
One of the cross-cutting objectives of REUSEMED project is to generate green jobs. To achieve this, the project fosters the training of unemployed people to provide them with knowledge and skills in mending and adapting garments and textile objects. The aim is to boost abilities that will enable them to work repairing and reusing second-hand material.
