The MED4EBM project is looking for an International Expert for Based Ecosystems Based Management. UNDP Jordan - the Lead Beneficiary of the MED4EBM project – is seeking the service of an international consultant to perform the function of an Ecosystems Based Management (EBM) expert. The assignment will be granted in a Deliverables Based Contract. The selected candidate will work with the project’s EB-ICZM technical teams established jointly with all MED4EBM partners.

SEACAP 4 SDG is launching an Expression of interest dedicated to the Municipalities and Local Authorities, as well as groupings of Municipalities/Local Authorities (see the Eligible Territories) interested in receiving technical support for the implementation of innovative solutions and tools for the energy refurbishment of education and health buildings. 

An awareness caravan has been launched in Ghraiba delegation (Sfax Governorate), to sensitize primary school students on the conservation and the main threats to migratory birds in the Kneiss islands nature reserve, working on synergy with COMMON project and house of culture of Ghraiba

The start of the pilot on community composting in the Italian city of Potenza, in the Basilicata region, is still in progress both technically and in terms of dissemination of the initiative among future users. A few days ago, the future community composting module was presented, which is being installed in a shared urban garden space. 

On May 24rd, the Israeli GREENinMED partners – the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, and Kinneret College – hosted a transnational workshop on Innovative Water Management Solutions for the Tourism Industry, in the Hevel Eilot regional council. The workshop was held as part of the GREENinMED project, which has the goal of making the Mediterranean tourism industry more sustainable through water and energy efficiency.

Consorzio ARCA, lead beneficiary of U-SOLVE, conducted a research on Palermo’s business and entrepreneurial ecosystem to identify the most pressing sustainable development challenges, paving the way for the detection and application of appropriate solutions from the Cultural and Creative sector for sustainable change and progress.

Representatives of the University of Patras, project partner of the DECOST consortium, participated in the 9th International Conference on Environmental Management, Engineering, Planning and Economics (CEMEPE 2022) and SECOTOX Conference that was jointly held in Mykonos island, Greece, the first week of June.

The National Agriculture Research Center (NARC) of Jordan, partner of PROSIM project, has completed the purchase of 15 evaporation pans in Balqa, Jordan.
