On the 27th of April 2023, the Region and Eastern Makedonia and Thrace (REMTH), Greek partner of Co-Evolve4BG, organised a participatory training/workshop in Alexandroupoli. Around 10 attendees with different backgrounds and expertise participated in this event. The main objective of the event was to draft an action plan to promote sustainable tourism and blue growth in Alexandroupoli and Samothraki (pilot areas of the project) and to present the transferability plan and discuss about how to transfer the results of the project.

Between 2-3 of May 2023, all of the YEP MED project partners met for the 3rd Steering Committee meeting in Aqaba, Jordan. During the 2 days of workshops, presentations and networking activities, the successes of the EU-funded project were highlighted, and a roadmap towards the capitalisation on the results of the project was made. 

The 3rd Intelligent Utilization of Photovoltaic Technology (IUPVMED) Hub meeting took place in a hybrid mode in Eilat, Israel on the 4th of May 2023. The meeting was a continuation of the previous two meetings, aiming to investigate the integration of photovoltaics (PV), energy storage systems (ESS), and demand side management (DSM), under the concept of a hybrid nanogrid system.

Portugal is making strides to preserve and promote the Mediterranean UNESCO cultural heritage through an innovative project called iHERITAGE. Spearheaded by the University of Algarve, the project aims to create cross-border living labs for research and innovation. 

From 2nd to 5th May the NEX-LABS project organized the first fact-finding mission in Pisa (Italy), bringing together six Mediterranean innovators selected through an open call.

The innovators coming from Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon and Jordan met with companies, researchers, and research centers to discuss innovation in water, energy, and food. The itinerary was carefully planned, and the group was warmly welcomed before being transferred to their first site visit.

In February 2023, the TRANSDAIRY team attended the 10th edition of the Entrepreneurship Festival, Riyeda, held in Tunis, where leaders of the dairy industry supply chain came together

The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research, Tunisian parnter of PPI4MED, participated from 2 to 5 May 2023 in Hammamet, Tunisia, in the "ICT brokerage event", organised by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) on the sidelines of the PAMED exhibition. This event gathered more than 150 exhibitors, 15 participating countries and more than 8000 visitors, offering an excellent opportunity to present innovative solutions, gain visibility and exchange with the dairy value chain actors.

CNR researchers of the bio-medical sector met representatives of public procurers, interested companies, start-ups, and associations to involve stakeholders in the implementation of innovative processes and technologies for the treatment of important diseases such as cancer, inflammation, or psychiatric disorders.  

FISH MED NET representative from Legacoop Agroalimentare, Italian partner of the project, participates at the conference Blue Skills & Jobs: Guiding future professions within the fishery supply chain to be held in Spazio Europa on the 11th May 2023 in Roma, Italy. The main aim of this conference is to discuss and highlight the importance of investing and supporting the Blue economy.
