Collaboration Generates Impact: MENAWARA & MEDWAYCAP International events in Jordan Explores Non-Conventional Water Reuse in Mediterranean Agriculture
Amman, Jordan - The utilization of non-conventional water took center stage at the International Roundtable and Interchange experience held in Jordan on May 7th and 8th, 2023. The event, organized by the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), brought together national and international stakeholders from Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt, and Malta.
MENAWARA exchange visit showcases successful reuse projects and wastewater treatment plant in Palestine
As part of the MENAWARA initiative, an exchange visit was organized to provide Palestinian farmers with first hand exposure to successful case studies and reinforce the knowledge they have gained throughout the project. The visit aimed at demonstrating the practical applications of the project's principles and techniques.
MENAWARA provides important learning opportunities linked to non conventional water in Tunisia: 80 people trained.
In an effort to enhance understanding and utilization of non-conventional water (NCW) in Tunisia, the Office National de l'Assainissement (ONAS) successfully organized three comprehensive training courses from May 2nd to May 5th, 2023. The courses attracted approximately 80 eager participants, including 18 farmers, 35 wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) engineers, and 22 agricultural extension workers.

Co-Evolve4BG organised a participatory workshop in Murcia (Spain) on integrated coastal zone management and blue tourism
On 25th May 2023, a workshop organized by the university of Murcia (UMU) in the framework of the Co-Evolve4BG project took place at the Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos El Batel, Cartagena (Murcia). It was attended by 31 people involved in sustainable tourism mainly from the region.
