In an effort to combat marine litter and promote sustainable coastal management, the Plastic Busters CAP project is set to host a workshop for integrating marine litter into local and national planning. This event will take place on 20th September 2023 at the Mouradi Gammarth Hotel in Tunis and is organized by the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies of Tunisia (INSTM), in partnership with the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE) and the University of Siena (UNISI).

Action Aid Palestine (AAP), The Palestinian partner of the INTERNISA, has organized and implemented a 2-day workshop entitled "Recommendations for Decision Makers to Enhancing Integration of Outcomes of INTERNISA project and Basic Needs of TVET in Palestine".  It was held at Action Aid Palestine premises, in Ramallah City, on the 8^th and 9^th of August 2023.

Collaboration between the different societal sectors living along the Mediterranean coast is key to achieve an effective management and protection of the shared natural resources and ecosystem services that the sea and land offer to us.

More than 50 participants are expected to attend the social event in Tunis on 18 October, followed by a one-day conference and panel debate on 19 October 2023 on the added value of collaboration and cooperation between cities and natural area communities, so that environmentally-friendly practices and tools can be adopted by society at large.

Plastic Busters team celebrates on 16 September in Taranto the World Cleanup Day (WCD), the largest civic action for cleaning up and mapping waste to tackle pollution, developed by the NGO 'Let's Do It!' and currently actively involving more than 191 countries.

In the recent ReSt@rts meeting held in Rome, the steering committee of ReSt@rts project met in person, consisting of representatives from six partner countries: Italy, Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestine, Cyprus, and Greece. Their purpose was to discuss the project's progress and outcomes. The central focus of these discussions was the Marketplace Platform that has been active and used for hosting webinars aimed at microfinance providers and aspiring entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to empower entrepreneurs and communities across the MED region.

The final conference of the NEX-LABS Project will take place in Aqaba, Jordan from 31st October to 2nd November 2023.

The event will bring together  Euro-Mediterranean researchers, policy makers, investors, Industry players, Academia, Technology Transfer Offices, SMEs, startups and Entrepreneurs to know more about Water, Energy and Food (WEF) NEXUS status and realities in Jordan and the Euro-Mediterranean Region to present the project final results and to forge strategic partnerships across Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
