The National Technical University of Athens, Greek partner of SOLE, has launched a call for tenders for the implementation of energy rehabilitation works on its premises. This intervention will be carried out thanks to project SOLE, cofinanced by Programme ENI CBC MED: SOLE aims to foster cost-effective and innovative energy rehabilitations of public buildings in the Mediterranean area.

The pilot action concerns the energy upgrade works for the building of NTUA (Metsovion Polytechnion) historical complex, in the University campus, which is located in the center of Athens (in the Exarchia district). The activity proposes various active measures and equipment additions in the direction of energy production (PV SYSTEM), energy saving and consumption monitoring.

The works to be carried out will include installation of smart meters and domotic system, replacement of lights and the installation of photovoltaic panels. The estimated allocation for the intervention amounts to € 265K, VAT included.

Back in May 2023, the SOLE project staff published a post on this website to promote the first call for tenders: while the part of the tendering procedure which regarded the installation of photovoltaic panels was correctly awarded and works on site are about to begin, no contractors appeared to be interested in the automation section of the call.

This part of the public selection procedure had to be re-announced: all information regarding the call for tenders can be accessed here in Greek.

The deadline for submitting bids is July 5th 2023, by 23:59 PM local time.
