The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), based in Athens, Greece, as the Lead Partner of INNOMED-UP project, organized and co-organized selected activities, in 2021, to promote the principles of Circular Economy and to introduce a shift into a circular production and consumption paradigm for local Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs) SMEs. Innovation and education were the basic pillars. Activities involved visits to local CCIs in the commercial center of downtown Athens. Professionals presented forms of waste and creative methods of re-use. Workshops on digital technology and facilities were co-organized with the municipality of Athens’ makers’ space. Finally, cross-border online meetings and presentations were held between partner cities and organizations.
