SEACAP 4 SDG project partners participated in the co-organised conference on Sustainable Climate and Energy Action Plans (SECAP) in the region of Alicante

On Wednesday, July 12th 2023, the third and final day of the SEACAP 4 SDG Spanish dissemination event took place at the MARQ -  Museo Arqueológico de Alicante (Alicante, Spain). The project partners were invited to participate in the conference “Management and development of SEACAPs in the Alicante region”, co-organised by IVE - Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación (Valencia Institute of Building) partner of the SEACAP 4 SDG project, in collaboration with the Alicante Provincial Council and the Sax municipality, pilot case of the project.

The event saw the participation of all the SEACAP 4 SDG project partners team and many local institution, such as the Alicante Provincial Energy Agency, which hosted the intervention about the Covenant of Mayors and the Provincial Energy Saving Plan, OPTIMIZA 2030, with the aim of financing energy saving actions in the province of Alicante.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The next intervention saw Mrs. Teresa Escrig Meliá who introduced some measures for the renaturation of spaces that can be considered when planning adaptation measures in cities.
Next, Mrs. Pepa Esparza (IVE) together with Mrs. Esther Martínez (Azigrene consultants) presented the SEACAP 4 SDG project giving an overview of the project activities carried out so far, with special attention to the pilot case of the municipality of Sax, where the project toolkit was successfully adopted. Among the tools selected to be adopted in the local context were those developed in the framework of the PrioritEE, IMPULSE, EduFootprint and ESMES projects.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The conference closed with the round table “SEACAPs in municipalities of Alicante” with the participation of the Sax, Salinas and Almoradi Town Hall representatives, during which the SECAP plans were also presented, such as the “Plan Agenda Urbana” (Urban Agenda Plan).
