The event will take place in the municipality of Deir Allaa in north of Jordan on May 19 and will include recreational activities and bazaars of reused products

The municipality of Deir Allaa (Jordan) will host a Reuse Festival to bring the advantages and benefits of this practice closer to the citizens. The event will take place on May 19 and will include training sessions and recreational activities prepared by the Jordanian partners of the REUSEMED project.

One of the main attractions of the event will be the bazaar of reused books and clothes that visitors will find, organized in collaboration with the municipality of Greater Irbid.

In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy numerous entertainment activities designed to educate about reuse in a playful way, including concerts, musical entertainment, contests, and various workshops and activities for children.

The governor of Balqa, the mayor of the municipality of Deir Allaa, and the local REUSEMED project manager will speak at the event. In their speeches, they will present the objectives of the REUSEMED project to the public and promote its reuse circuits among the local community.

REUSEMED proposes to create municipal networks based on reuse circuits for home appliances, furniture, books, clothes, Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment and food. To set up the networks, 4 cities in Spain, Italy, Jordan and Tunisia will design and test composting installations, food collection points in markets, repair and reuse centers, reuse corners in shops and repairing cafes.
