Plastic Busters CAP in Lebanon is looking for a Marine Litter Expert

Tyre Coast Nature Reserve (TCNR), Lebanese partner of the Plastic Busters Cap project is looking for a Marine Litter Expert.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANT

  • Participation in all the Marine Litter monitoring, mitigations, and awareness actions (including field works/ collecting/ analyzing data and reporting the data) in coordination with Tyre Coast Nature Reserve.
  • Participation in the redaction of reports related to Marine Litter monitoring, mitigations, policy, and awareness actions.
  • Participation and available for all the events related to the project PBCAP.
  • Working closely with the project Manager in Tyre Coast Nature Reserve.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Master degree/ PhD on Environment/Marine Science.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good in the redaction of reports.
  • Good knowledge on statistical analysis and programs related.

ABOUT

Plastic Buster Cap tackles one of the world's biggest challenges, especially in the Mediterranean Sea: "Marine Litter". The project will help enhance and transfer knowledge, experience, and best practice tools that address the entire management cycle of marine litter, from monitoring and assessment to prevention and mitigation, towards an integrated and strategic approach that couples Ecosystem-Based Management and Integrated Coastal Zone Management into local development planning. One of the project's activities is Marine Litter Monitoring and Mitigation actions.
