The SOLE Project focuses on raising awareness with regard to efficient energy use in public buildings and, at the same time, it will undergo some energy efficiency interventions in selected pilot buildings across the Mediterranean.

LifeBox is a highly-reliable and innovative solar energy start-up that is solving two environmental problems in Egypt: CO2 emissions to the atmosphere and the use of expensive and unreliable electricity.

As Part of “Promoting Upcycling in Circular Economy through Innovation and Education for Creative Industries in Mediterranean Cities (INNOMED-UP)” project in collaboration with 7 European Union academic, research and professional institutions, in addition to Palestine, Jordan and Tunisia, represented by the cities of Hebron, Nablus, Amman and Tunisia and funded by the European Union, the training program for SMEs owners was launched on Tuesday, 8 June 2021 in the Hall of the Palestinian Engineering Association /Hebron Branch.

Researchers from the European project TEC-MED (Development of a transcultural, social-ethical care model for the dependent population in the Mediterranean Sea Basin), an initiative led by the University of Seville, offer an overview of the situation faced by dependent people over 65 years old in countries like Greece, Tunisia, Lebanon, Italy, Egypt, and Spain through a simple and practical approach. Six countries from both shores of the Mediterranean participate in this project.

MedArtSal project, supporting the sustainable development of artisanal salt-works in the Mediterranean basin, after a period of study and preparation, starts the practical implementation of sub-granted proposals in the different projects countries.

It is becoming increasingly significant that adding a social component to how the environmental issues are tackled is essential to achieve a socially Just Transition, and MedTOWN project offers an example of how this can be undertaken by working together with the community and social actors to co-produce public policies.
