Med_EEE
Med_EEE - Mediterranean dignity through decent Employments, Entrepreneurs and Social Enterprises Network
A.3 Promotion of social inclusion and the fight against poverty
A.3.1: Provide young people, especially those belonging to the NEETS, and women, with marketable skills
WHY: The Mediterranean is fragmented, Europe and North of Africa are competing on a economic perspective that creates collateral damage, social and environmental dumping and immigration Top down policies and initiatives on cohesion and development have demonstrated to be insufficient. There is a need for bottom up initiatives that will provide decent employment (specially for less favoured ones) as a mean to achieve dignity of the people and the Mediterranean
SOLUTION: Circular and integrated approach is required to build a Med_000 (following Muhammad Yunus model: neutral economic, social and environmental impact) Swarms of ‘Social Enterprises’ networked at local and international level
Reduce unemployment
Promote social inclusion
Circular economy
. Creation of ‘Social Promoters Ecosystem’ in each country
• Systematization of the model
• Med_EEE Network model
• Growth and evolution of the model in different areas/sectors (agrifood, logistics, automotive maintenance, …)
• Impact measurement
• Definition of new policy instruments to promote and strengthen this initiatives in the Med area
