MYSEA in Italy will take part in an event on green jobs opportunities for youth

Destinazione Futuro is an event organized by Brunilda Elezi, IVY Volunteer for the MYSEA project, in collaboration with CIES Onlus, the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and the Interreg Volunteer Youth initiative, within the framework of European territorial cohesion policies.

It will take place in Rome (Italy) on Monday, October 10, 2022 and will be structured in two sessions. For both, participation is free of charge.

  • From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Prassede Palace Hotel (Via San Giovanni Gualberto No. 11, close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore), a Conference will be held on the possibilities offered by Green economies in the Lazio region: innovative experiences, training paths and active labor policies in the framework of European territorial cohesion. Speakers will include representatives of: Slow Food Lazio, Legambiente, Ecosistemi Foundation, Speha Fresia, FUSILLI Project.

  • In the afternoon, from 2 to 5:30 p.m., there will be a guided tour with product tasting at the Agricultural Cooperative "Coraggio" at Centro agricolo Borghetto San Carlo, via Cassia 1420 - 00123, Rome. The visit is conducted in collaboration with the FUSILLI project, funded by the EC under the Horizon 2020 program, G.A. No. 101000717.
    The transfer will be made by a free, round-trip shuttle service, departing from Hotel Prassede Palace at 2 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform and provide inspiration for young people and women on the opportunities for vocational training, career growth and sustainable development fostered by the EU Cohesion Policy.

Destinazione Futuro will focus on the opportunities offered by Green Economies in the Lazio region: innovative experiences, vocational training paths and active labor policies. Among the various speeches, CIES Onlus will have the pleasure of presenting the MYSEA project, co-funded by the ENI CBC MED 2014-2020 program, which aims to promote the employability and labor inclusion of young people, NEETs and women in 5 Mediterranean countries (Italy - Lazio and Sicily regions -, Greece, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan) in the Green & Blue Economy, particularly in the agrifood and waste management sectors, through vocational training paths.

As the vocational training courses within MYSEA project are scheduled to start in October, CIES Onlus is pleased to invite companies, social cooperatives, business associations, as well as young people and women, to this event.
