Mr. Roberto Raimondi, Italian national with a broad international experience in the private and academic sectors, has been appointed for a 5-year term as Director-General of the Managing Authority of the ENI CBC Med Programme.

After a university degree in International Communications at the University of Perugia (Italy) and a master’s degree in economics at the LUISS University ‘School of Government’ of Rome, Mr. Raimondi has gained an experience of over 15 years in the private sector as director-general of different companies in Italy, the Balkans and in the South-East Asia region.

Mr. Raimondi has been appointed as professor in political economy at the University of Tirana (Albania), and more recently, at the UNILINK University of Rome with a course on economics of knowledge.

In his position as Director-General, Mr. Raimondi will coordinate, manage, and supervise the overall implementation of the ENI CBC Med Programme including among other duties the relations with the participating countries and the European Commission, the representation of the Programme in conferences and events, and the chairmanship of the Joint Monitoring Committee – the decision-making body of the ENI CBC Med Programme.
