The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA) in Egypt, officially launched the El Amreya Pilot project, the first wholesale market fully powered by solar panels.

The event took place on the 12th of February at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. The event commemorated the opening and operation of the rehabilitated pilot area, El Amreya Wholesale Market, as part of the MAIA-TAQA project's goals to define a new group of sustainable services related to energy, water, waste and to promote innovative resource efficiency services in the Mediterranean SMEs.
