Jordan: 45 entrepreneurs from Irbid got aware of IPMED activities

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, H.E Eng. Maha Ali stressed on the government's support for the industrial sector, especially in the north region, as part of the  government's work priorities for the coming years, stressing that the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), Lead Beneficiary of IPMEd project, has started practical steps to stimulate the industrial sector and qualify it to support employment and increase exports.

Mr. Abdel Fattah al-Kayed, JEDCO's CEO, assured that they are working on developing their business plans in cooperation with the private sector, stressing out that its role in serving the industrial sector makes it easier and closer to seek its needs.

He added that JEDCO's support to the north region had expanded to serve entrepreneurs and SMEs.

The chairman of Irbid Chamber of Industry, Hani Abu Hassan, welcomed minister Ali, and praised her continuous support  to solve the obstacles and problems of the private sector stressing the importance of JEDCO's support towards the industrial sector and the great role it plays to support exports.

The awareness day included presenting information about building Intellectual Properties Capacities and Entrepreneurship through the project IPMED which is supported by the European Union, for youth and women in the northern region, in addition to the financial grants program to support the national industrial SMEs which JEDCO will implement to increase Jordanian exports.
