Italian newspaper La Repubblica to interview CROSSDEV for its column “Mondo Solidale” (Solidarity World)

On Wednesday 9th of June, the CROSSDEV project will be showcased in an online video interview with journalist Carlo Ciavoni for the Italian leading newspaper La Repubblica in its column “Mondo Solidale” – Solidarity World – a section dedicated to the world of solidarity and cooperation.

Thanks to the participation of the Project’s Coordinator Deborah Rezzoagli – from lead partner Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Popoli (CISP) – and Alessandra Lucchese – from partner Ministero della Cultura (MIC, the Italian Ministry of Culture), CROSSDEV will have the occasion to highlight the value of culture as a lever to develop territories. How do we do this? Inspired by the Cultural Itineraries example, we use their strategy and turn culture into an instrument to boost local development and support small-to-medium businesses and employment growth.

Hence, the importance of a new kind of international cooperation, which works closely with national institutions, such as, in this case, the collaboration between an international NGO and the Italian Ministry of Culture, among other partners.

CROSSDEV will give an overview of its activities and results so far, also highlighting the role of culture as a tool to build intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean area.

The interview will be online on 9 June, 2021 in the afternoon.
