IPMED in Jordan presents its plan to train young people on intellectual properties

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Deputy General Director of the Regional and National Development Sector General Hasan Kleib visited the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), lead beneficiary of IPMED, on Sunday, May 29th 2022, and met its deputy CEO, Mutea Ghuneimat.

 The meeting was attended by a team from both JEDCO and the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Supply.

Ways of joint cooperation were discussed during the meeting, in the field of supporting and developing the entrepreneurs' businesses and emerging SMEs in Jordan.

Mr. Kleib has proposed that Jordan focuses on the youth, SMEs and women to boost the utilization of intellectual property as a tool for innovation.

He was also impressed with the unique services that IPMED will provide to young entrepreneurs in Jordan and the involved countries in this project especially the training on Intellectual Properties (IP).

Mr. Ghuneimat confirmed JEDCO's continuous support for the innovation ecosystem in Jordan and its keenness to empower young innovators and entrepreneurs.
