Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico - FI.L.S.E. S.p.A., Italian partner of IPMED organised an awareness session  in Genoa, Italy on 4th April 2023 which was attended by 35 participants.

After giving an introduction about IPMED activities and objectives, the lecturers gave a general overview of the fields of appliance for patents including requirements and exceptions, range of appliance and the governance of patents globally.
An interesting case study regarding an auto-inflatable bike helmet patent registration was also examined in detail and followed by a workshop activity. The participants were engaged in a web research for existing patents starting from a technical drawing, just using some free web tools illustrated by the lecturers.
