On the 4th of March, the CRE@CTIVE project held its institutional kick-off meeting with partners from 6 Mediterranean countries as well as representatives from the Joint Technical Secretariat of the ENI CBC MED Programme and from industry.

The EU funded ENI CBC MED CRE@CTIVE with a budget of 3.2 Mio. EUR aims at bringing empowerment and growth to MSMEs of the Mediterranean Textile, Footwear and Leather sectors.

During the kick-off the participants discussed the planned activities that will support the creation of joint clusters of traditional sectors businesses with creative labs, fashion schools and design centers as well as advanced innovators and service providers. Partners presented cluster and business models from previous EU funded projects -TCBL and Creativewear- that shall be integrated into the CRE@CTIVE project. The participants learned about the regional financial observatory mechanism MASDE and its possible transference to the CRE@CTIVE project.
