GREENINMED International Pitching and Final Event on eco-innovative solutions in energy and water management

GREENinMED “Speeding up the MED SMEs" up-taking of eco-innovative solutions in energy and water management” is a four-year project funded by the EU in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Capenergies (a French sustainability cluster), Kinneret College, the Israeli Water Association, and the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. 

The partners are developing innovative energy and water saving products and services relevant for tourism SMEs in the Mediterranean region. This integrated approach offers a wide range of eco-innovations like energy production from waves, valve monitoring systems, methods to minimize leakage, and off-grid units and technologies which have a high degree of replication potential in other sectors and can be adopted by other enterprises. The goal is to create a cross-border support system through information management, networking, financial support, and training. The vision is to encourage a collaborative sustainable mindset that adapts to current environmental challenges.

Event Summary:
The GREENinMED project is coming to an end with a climax: the International Pitching and Final Event. With this event, the project creates a unique international networking opportunity between the pitching companies, potential investors, project partners, the winners of the Subgrants, scientists, students, entrepreneurs, project participants and partners. The Israel Hotel Association and the Israel Innovation Authority are present as well as the Head of the Research and Innovation Section of the Delegation of the EU in Israel. Take advantage of this special event that brings a rare variety of people together who all share the interest of advancing sustainable solutions in energy and water management!   
International Pitching Event: Eight companies from France, Spain and Israel will present their pitch – eco-innovative ideas and solutions for water and energy management that can be applied in the tourism industry. Potential investors will be present in the forum, so the event presents a unique networking opportunity. 

Final Event: Innovation and entrepreneurship, specifically geared towards water and energy efficiency, is the focus of the conference. Innovative products of the Subgrantee Winners will be spotlighted. The project partners will present best practices and ways forward, as well as insights from the projects that can serve as a basis for strategy building and future programs. 

The event will take place on June 27th at 9:30 (local time) at the Igudan Visitors’ Center (Rishon LeTsiyon).
