Journalists, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders had the opportunity to discover the scope and opportunities of the INVESTMED project during a press conference which took place on November 24th, 2020. The event was moderated by Cristina Giner, EURONEWS correspondent. The project aims at supporting new, sustainable business opportunities for young people and women in three Mediterranean Partner Countries: Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia.

Slow Tourism is a rather new concept, however this does not mean that there isn't a list of pioneer destinations worldwide that have already proved this approach to sustainable tourism to be highly successful.
In this chapter, the research explores how different destinations present to their travellers a Slow Tourism offer, to latter be able to present guidelines for destinations that seek to potentiate a tourism offer of this kind. The destinations chosen are the following ones:

The Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIS), partner of MEDSt@rts project, has again extended the deadline for the selection of microfinance promoters.
The new deadline for submitting applications is 18th January.
The promoters will support the Chamber and the aspiring entrepreneurs in assessing the sustainability of their projects and in selecting the best financial instruments.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon (CCIAS), Lebanese partner of MEDSt@rts project, has started the group setting activity for the aspiring entrepreneurs with the creation of 5 thematic panels: Craftsmanship, Eco-design, Agrifood, Digital and Sanitizing technologies.

On 21 of October 2020, Palestinian Heritage Trail (PH Trail) Trail Development team started waymarking its five new developed hiking segments from Beit Mirsim to Artas, passing sixteen Palestinian villages. Finally, the waymarking of the new five segments, a total of 60 km long trail was completed by the beginning of December, 2020. The Trail Development team jointly worked with representatives from the local councils of the designated villages to assure a professional waymarking.
