The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an arid to semi-arid country. Water resources depend on variable rainfall and therefore are characterized by scarcity, variability, and uncertainty: Jordan is therefore ranked fourth poorest country with regard to water resources worldwide.
The largest water consume is prior taken from Agriculture, taking about 70 % of the national water budget. The use of treated waste water for irrigation is a national objective to double the utilization of treated waste water to 15 Million m³ by 2035.

STAND Up! - Lebamoz, a fashion start-up producing natural fibers from banana pseudostems
Lebamoz produces natural fibers and fabrics from banana pseudostems with a very low carbon footprint. Partnering with Lebanese banana farmers and loom operators to collect and process banana fibers, these will be spun into yarn and then either sold as they are or woven into fabric.
STAND Up! has selected 4 circular fashion start-ups in Lebanon to scale and move to the incubation phase. Lebamoz is one of the start-ups selected which will receive additional business and financial support to become more competitive and seize business opportunities in the Mediterranean.
