GIMED has launched a call for trainers in Lebanon to help establish early-stage green start-ups working on eco-innovative products or services. Berytech, the Lebanese partner of the EU-funded project in the context of the ENI CBC MED program, has recently launched the Support Program for Green Start-ups, which aims at supporting green entrepreneurs to better access finance and market in the Mediterranean.

Under this scope, the project provides training, coaching sessions, capacity building workshops and sub-grants to consolidate green business creation and development. In this sense, trainers selected in this call will deliver a green capacity building program, following The Switchers.org tool created under the SwitchMed methodology, developed by the Regional Activity Center for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC), the Lead Beneficiary from GIMED.

The selected trainers will help 40 early-stage ventures better shape their business and come up with a robust green business plan. The entrepreneurs will receive training workshops and will be split into four groups to benefit from group coaching sessions that will provide them with tailored input between October and December 2021, with a minimum of 55 hours in total. Typical length of each sessions is 2.5 hours to be delivered remotely with an average of 2 sessions per week.

The trainers should use The Switchers.org platform, where the entrepreneurs can build their green business plan. Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the profile of the ventures sharing ongoing feedback with entrepreneurs and followed by specific deliverables.
