Starting from the 8th July an online training course on “Strengthening organic value chain in the Mediterranean” will be held online. The course, organized by CIHEAM Bari (Italty), is addressed to organic operators previously selected by a scientific committee at CIHEAM Bari, and belonging to different value chains (i.e. viticulture, cereals, and so on). Thematics are related to several topics, as suggested by participants themselves, and range from new Regulation and Green Deal to techniques of fertilization and disease control, from Smart labelling to commercial alliances, thus covering a wide array of relevant issues.

The foreseen 30 hours of online lectures will allow participants, at the end of the course, to enhance their competencies and access the next steps of the project (i.e. national meetings, national and cross-border workshops). The expected impact relates mainly to the mutual transfer of knowledge and innovation, the aggregation of companies in value chains and the expansion of organic value chains through the creation of new commercial alliances.

The month of August will be characterized by the last two lectures of the online training course, on the 5th and 6th August, respectively “Smart agriculture” and “Plastic-free packaging and Smart labelling”.
