On 9 June 2022, CLUSTER consortium held an important meeting in order to present the state of the art of its activities and increase its efforts to foster social inclusion in the Mediterranean.

During the meeting, project partners exchanged methodologies and results achieved in the engagement of young people and unemployed women and discussed ways to maximise their actions.

A local "Network of Social Economy Actors" consisting of social enterprises, NGOs, foundations, civil society organizations, volunteer centres, and associations will be established in each project country with the mission to maximise the involvement of strategic stakeholders in the training activities for young people and women, which will provide the participants with the most in-demand green skills to increase their chances to enter the labour market.

Finally, some best practices from the RESMYLE project were shared to improve CLUSTER social actions. They focus on the capacity building for young people to get better access to the labour market, with a special focus on key environmental and sustainable development challenges in the Mediterranean.

In particular, a 3-step process was presented:

  1. Environmental education to raise the awareness of the training course participants towards the challenges of environmental protection in the Mediterranean
  2. Practical international learning workshops and volunteer missions to increase solidarity, intercultural, life and green skills in young people and women
  3. Eco-incubators to train and mentor young entrepreneurs in the development of their business ideas.
