Training about the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) is a critical part of MoreThanAJob project’s capacity building strategy. The project seeks to engage people at many different levels including community education, and SSE development organizations, as well as in schools and colleges.

The big picture and framework of the solidarity economy is lacking. Thus, there is a critical need to inform people about the SSE in order to continue to strengthen their collective capacity and impact.

In this context, MoreThanAJob project's partners in Palestine: the Nablus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the International Grants and Projects Center at An-Najah National University, organized an informative workshop about MoreThanAJob project's objectives and programs for the “social organization” course’s, 24 students from the social work program at An-Najah National University on Monday April 4, 2022.​

The event started with an introduction about the project which aims to promote the social inclusion of vulnerable, and unemployed people‎by applying the best identified practices for more effective collaboration between the SSE actors and the public administration. ‎

 The event also included presentations about the project’s sub-grants which were awarded to SSE entities to support the cooperation between SSE actors and the public administrations with the aim of improving welfare and social services for vulnerable groups in order to increase their opportunities for social and labour inclusion.

At the end of the workshop, students engaged in a question and answer session with the ‎workshop's speakers and ‎participants.
