Supporting green business creation in the Mediterranean: meet the 5 implementing partners of RESET project

RESET will identify and analyse most successful practices that can further be capitalized on and optimized at project local, national and regional level across the Mediterranean in order to support green business creation. With a focused scope on generating change and supporting green entrepreneurs, the EU-funded project under the ENI CBC Med Programme is implemented with the expertise from 5 different partners coming from different countries in the North and South of the Mediterranean Region.

In a nutshell, partners involved in the project are based in Spain, Italy, Lebanon, Palestine and Tunisia. Each partner, based on their field of expertise, will be responsible for the implementation of the different activities and technical outputs, meaning 9 in total. These latter include among others a capitalisation lab, a capitalisation clinic, as well as a virtual community of practice to exchange on the best recipes about green business creation, fostering cross-border cooperation as an engine for the sustainable development of the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC): SCP/RAC is the Lead Beneficiary of the project, it is a centre for international cooperation with Mediterranean countries on development and innovation in the production sector and civil society, based on more sustainable consumption and production model. [The centre carries out its activities within the Barcelona Convention and is a component of the  Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) of the United Nations Program for the Environment (UNEP). SCP/RAC is based in Barcelona, Spain and is hosted and administrated by the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC).

Beyond Group: the Lebanese partner of the project brings together three specialized change-driven practices as well as an international alliance of like-minded organizations to serve global partners. They design, implement and transfer integrated solutions, responding to local needs while capitalizing on global knowledge and partnerships. Their three main domains of action are: Public Policy & Management, Organizational Learning & Development, and Innovation & Technology Integration.

PIN S.c.r.l. Scientific and Educational Services for the University of Florence: PIN is a consortium company with a majority non-profit public participation. It was established in Italy as an association in 1992 and on 3rd June 1999 it became a limited liability consortium company (S.c.r.l.). PIN supports itself financially through contributions, agreements with partners and external bodies, and the implementation of research and training projects. In the elaboration of these conventions, the new University of Florence was opened up and opened to dialogue with the Society and the Institutions, which was desired by everyone. In 2003, PIN obtained the ISO 9001 quality certification. With this recognition, PIN is proposed as a subject with advanced knowledge and operational skills, able to organize services for teaching and research at a qualitatively high level.

Leaders International: Leaders International is an international network of local organisations specialised in planning, managing, and monitoring innovation and economic development interventions in developing economies, fragile states, and post-conflict countries. It was established in 2004 with a vision to deliver prosperity and economic growth to people across the Middle East and North Africa.

Through its global network of partners, Leaders International delivers professional project-management services with particular focus on private-sector development, job creation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and access to markets. It manages a multi-million active portfolio of development grants and service contracts; aiming to advance and transform developing economies while respecting environmental, ethical, and social values of those it serves. It’s based in Ramallah, Palestine, with offices in Amman, and also Brussels.

INJAZ Tunisia: Created in 2010, INJAZ Tunisia is a non-profit association member of the international network Junior Achievement Worldwide present in 127 countries and of the regional network INJAZ Al Arab present in 14 countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, United Arab Emirates. INJAZ Tunisia aims to create a new generation of young Tunisians capable of succeeding in a globalized economy by stimulating their entrepreneurial spirit and professional aptitude.
