CLUSTER is teaming up with its local associate partners in Spain, Cyprus and Tunisia to boost the employability of young people and women

Profiling activities are in full swing to understand the current needs of young unemployed people (NEETs) and women in the context of the Sustainable Economy sector, and so is the cooperation among CLUSTER Partners and its Associates ones.

In Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry is working closely with CLUSTER associate partner, the Youth Board Cyprus to make the most of their contribution to equip young people, in particular women, with skills sellable on the job market. In particular, the Youth Board of Cyprus contributed throughout January 2022 to the collection of demographic data for the NEETs profiling practice.

In Tunisia, the Commissariat Général au Développement Régional (CGDR) is also working closely with CLUSTER Tunisian associate partner, l'Ecole Centrale Privée de Droit et de Gestion, as well as the Governorate of Nabeul, CGDR’s regional partner, to prepare the activities of awareness raising of public authorities, with the aim of creating a fertile environment for the employment of young people. In particular, on 15 December 2021, CGDR met with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and representatives from the Governorate of Nabeul to devise an approach to map Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) policy frameworks and create guidelines to interview key actors working in the sector.

Finally, in Catalonia (Spain), the IEMed teamed up with the Catalan Public Employment Service and the Mediterranean Relations and European Networks Service of the Government of Catalonia on 14 January 2022 to generate synergies between the institutions, not only regarding the NEETs profiling practice, but also to make sure to capitalize on the full potential of the good, sustainable practices proposed by CLUSTER in Catalonia.
