The first issue of the EU-funded SIRCLES project's newletter discusses the advantages of bio-waste, ignored by many, and the many ways a circular economy could have positive impact on the general population.

It is worth noting that there are many benefits to a circular economy, with the term “less” repeated many times. There is less use of non-renewable resources and resources are used sustainably. Less carbon is emitted due to lessened mining needs, and less waste is produced in general.

SIRCLES project wants to explore new employment opportunities by applying the circular economy model applied to the biowaste sector. The project focuses on developing new capacities oriented to business development and separation, collection, composting and agriculture processes.
