TEX-MED ALLIANCES Seminar and Business Meetings on "Mediterranean Fashion Styles" in Alexandria, Egypt

Is it possible to have a Mediterranean fashion style? This is the question we will try to answer at the Seminar and Business Meeting organized by the EU-funded TEX-MED ALLIANCES project.

The event, which will be held in Alexandria (Egypt) on 1 December, will bring together a brilliant panel of fashion experts, designers, and textile industry entrepreneurs from 7 countries. Specifically, Aida Zayed, Managing Director Fashion & Design Center from Egypt; Gloria Jover, Fashion product strategy consultant from Spain; from Italy, Roberta Lojacono, fashion designer & art director; Salah Barka,  Art director in Tunisia; Dina Maqdah, Fashion & design consultant in Jordan; form Palestine, Jabra Khoury, Fashion designer & stylist and from Greece, Venetia Koutsou, Fashion Designer, Forecaster, lecturer in Creative Design & Clothing dep., International Hellenic University (IHU). 

The second most important issue of the event will be the presentation of, TheMedNew, a new brand that gathers different designers and SMEs of the fashion industry that aims at becoming a pivotal example of effective cooperation along the entire textile value chain for the Mediterranean sector. Mr. Hani Mourad, Key Expert at Tex-Med Alliances, and Mrs. Irene Salguero, fashion sales expert, will introduce assistants to the new fashion business platform, based on the values of sustainability, social fairness and it is characterized by a “Mediterranean” identity (in a broad sense).

After the discussion pannels, The attendees will be invited to participate in matchmaking meetings with representatives of the whole textile value chain.

The TEX-MED ALLIANCES Seminar and Business meetings will take place in a hybrid format. For those that can't assist personally, the event will be broadcast online through the Zoom platform.
