TRANSDAIRY specialized training addressing the core challenges of the dairy sector in Lebanon

As part of the Transdairy Living Lab activities, a specialized training session was implemented aiming at building capacity for innovators and researchers working in the dairy value chain including public authorities and technology transfer Offices, researchers, faculty members, innovators, industrialists, and key enabling technology providers (KET).

The training was given by Dr. Mohammed Al Jaafari, Director of the Intellectual Property Commercialization Office at iPARK, the Royal Scientific Society Via Zoom. 3 modules were given over 6 intensive days, with a minimum of 18 hours of attendance.

After a survey done with the participants, the majority confirmed that the training was very valuable, and that the content of the training was efficient and targeted. It added a lot to their knowledge and strongly impacted the scope of their solution.

At the end of the training, the attendees were able to have:

Clear understanding of IP and commercialization strategies for their research

Develop and/or strengthen their business models based on the learning outcomes

Learn about financial projection and financial models. Developed early-stage financial strategies and integrate them in the pitching.

Testimonies of external speakers about the entrepreneurship journey from an actual experience overview

Feedback and advice from trainer Mohammed Jaafari to receive direct support and guidance

Pitchers participated to a 30 minutes one on one sessions with a pitching expert (Giorgio Chemali) and received tailored and personalized feedback to improve their pitches before the Internal Jury.

9 participants presented their innovation and project in front of an internal jury and 6 out of the 9 pitchers were selected to receive the 1500 euros vouchers used in a way to support their innovation.
