GIMED: 1st EcoSwitch Festival for green entrepreneurs

The first annual EcoSwitch Festival for green entrepreneurs is ready. The virtual event is organized by the EcoSwitch Coalition, a network of 17 organisations, institutions and corporations that support eco-entrepreneurs in Lebanon, among which we find Berytech, the Lebanese partner involved in the GIMED project.

The idea of this festival is to introduce sustainable entrepreneurs in Lebanon to the EcoSwitch Coalition and highlight how they could be supported. Transfering useful knowledge for enterprises and providing space for networking with like-minded eco-oriented entrepreneurs are two other keys areas.

Among the panellists, there are different entrepreneurs that have been trained by GIMED in Lebanon. To be specific, Raymon Boustani is an entrepreneur behind Froz.me, an online marketplace for eco-friendly products in Lebanon. He is joining the expert panel sessions on pricing products in times of crisis, planned on the Day 2. Also on that day, Pierre Baaklini will join the local sourcing and local manufacturing discussion. He is the environmental activist and CEO of Lebanon Waste Management, a green start-up treating dry solid waste

As per the physical gathering, which will be the 25th of November, one of the participants that will join the networking activities is Andrea Ruzo, Project Manager at the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC), Lead Beneficiary from GIMED.
