Within MoreThanAJob activities, Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry "NCCI" partner of MoreThanAJob project, signed a Memorandum of Understanding "MoU" with the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection (PFESP) Palestine/Nablus

Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented by its chairman Mr. Omar Hashem signed an MoU with the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection for Workers PFESP represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish.
This MoU aims at joint cooperation in the field of employment and economic empowerment, especially for graduates, entrepreneurs, and marginalized groups (vulnerable).

The chamber role will be manifested in hosting the PFESP services unit “Care and Business Development Unit” and it will also be responsible for providing this unit with the necessary logistics and supplies. By doing so, the Chamber will effectively provide its services and various employment fund programs according to the mutual understanding of the two parties, and achieving maximum benefit for the beneficiaries of all categories, namely youth, graduates, women, marginalized people, people with disabilities PWD’s, cooperatives and the unemployed. 
“Care and Business Development Unit” will also provide services such as public awareness, technical and legal guidance, professional guidance, and economic empowerment in order to establish economic projects and make all the services of the first party available to all members, individuals, companies, and enterprises that achieve the goals of PFESP.

This MoU will be a step toward supporting economic development and social development by activating and stimulating labor market policies, generating permanent job opportunities, and developing social capital, for the purpose of decreasing poverty and unemployment rates on a strategic basis. 
It is also important to note that the PFESP has become the official national umbrella for programs and projects that create job opportunities, especially for graduates, as it implements a number of programs and projects that characterized by the diversity of funds and by providing advisory, technical, awareness, and legal services for businesses in addition to supporting self-employment and entrepreneurial projects.
All the programs and projects of the PFESP targets Youth, graduates, women, marginalized groups, PWD's, cooperatives, and unemployed persons.
