MoreThanAJob : lancement des sessions de formation des acteurs de l'Economie Sociale et Solidaire en Jordanie

“MoreThanAJob” training seminars for the Social and Solidarity Economy actors “SSE” in the field of unemployed people, focusing on vulnerable groups (uneducated and newly arrived migrants/refugees) have been launched and implemented in Jordan.

More than 100 participants from different civil society organizations in Jordan have participated in the training seminar organized by Mutah University from 4th to 14th February 2021, the training seminars were delivered in both face-to-face and virtual facilities through ZOOM.

The content of the training is focused on understanding the best practices and social schemes identified in the project framework and the role of the SSE’s in providing public services to meet basic human needs, respecting the unemployed, focusing on  vulnerable groups ( uneducated and newly arrived migrants/refugees):

  • Social and solidarity economy and alternatives models
  • Labor market integration
  • Skills matching and youth employment
  • Support innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Optimum delivery of social services to the unemployed people focusing on vulnerable groups

This training also comes as support in practice the application and uptake of the adapted best practices for sub-grants that will be funded through the project as opportunities. Also, the MoreThanAJob portal was presented to the participants and they welcomed the idea of the portal that will allow SSE actors and public administrations to upload information on services and opportunities they are offering to address the needs of the most vulnerable groups and agreed to john it as a tool of learning space and they can share their doubts, experiences, and needs, and obtain the necessary support to respond creatively to the challenges they are to encounter unemployment and vulnerable groups.

 

Other training seminars also will be organized in Palestine, Lebanon, Greece, and Italy during February and March.
