On January 8, the water and soil experts from ENAS “Ente Acque della Sardegna” and the technicians of Laore Sardegna “Agenzia per l’attuazione dei programmi in campo agricolo e per lo sviluppo rurale” met in Cagliari (Sardinia) to discuss about the expected impact of the MEDISS project in the pilot area of Arborea.

Laore Sardegna, the regional agency that provides technical assistance in agriculture, is one of the key stakeholders identified by MEDISS project; indeed, it has been working for several years in the Nitrates Vulnerable Zones (NVZ) area of Arborea to monitor the state of pollution from nitrates of mainly agricultural origin.

Thanks to the huge range of information available and the contribution of MEDISS project, a network of contacts has been created for sharing information on the area with Laore Sardegna and other stakeholders, like ADIS “Agenzia regionale del distretto idrografico della Sardegna” - in charge of the Sardinian hydrographic basins management - and AGRIS Sardegna “Agenzia per la ricerca scientifica, la sperimentazione e l'innovazione nei settori agricolo, agroindustriale e forestale”, the regional  agency for agricultural research and development.
