HELIOS Launch Event in Amman (Jordan)

HELIOS is officially ready to start with the Kick off meeting in Amman!

With the aim of starting the project activities with energy and dynamism, the partners will hold the first Technical Committee Meeting organized by ARCES Association and the National Agricultural Research Center of Jordan (NARC).

Will be present at the meeting the Mediterranean Project Partners coming from Italy, Spain, Greece, Palestine, Tunisia and Jordan, as well as several local, regional and national authorities.

Dr. Nizar Haddad, General Director of the National Agricultural Research Center of Jordan (NARC), will be in charge of opening the kick off meeting by welcoming to all attendees and introducing H.E. Mrs. Maria Hadjitheodosiou the Ambassador of the European Union to Jordan, Dr. Esmat Al Karadsheh the Coordinator of Eastern Mediterranean Branch Office and the Project coordinator and Head of the Unit European Programmes of ARCES Association Mr. Alessandro Pernice.

This event will represent a great opportunity for the seven project partners to discuss the current challenges that different regions on the two sides of the Mediterranean are facing and to raise awareness about the importance of addressing jointly the issues of social exclusion and climate change. During these days the next steps and activities will be established in order to reduce the high rates of NEETs and prominent skills mismatch which currently prevail.
