On April 25, 2021, the Lebanese University team conducted a survey of the area in Deddeh, Koura, located to the south of Tripoli which has been earmarked for the construction of AQUACYCLE’s eco-innovative wastewater treatment system in Deddeh North Lebanon.

Under the supervision of a civil engineer, detailed measurements of the area were recorded, including its topography. The total surface area of the pilot demonstration system is expected to take up around 500 square meters.

In September of last year, the Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the Real Estate Company, SANABEL, who owns the land.  For this reason, the proposed design plans will first be transmitted to SANABEL for validation in the coming days. Consequently, the design plans for the construction of the pilot demonstration system will be submitted for approval by the municipality of Deddeh.

More views of the area earmarked as the site for the construction of the wastewater treatment system are shown below.
