ENSERES' workshop on participatory governance and artisanal fisheries in Sfax

A training workshop has been organized by ENSERES partners following the meeting held in September 2022 in Sfax, Tunisia, to explore the biodiversity protection and management tools most relevant to address the challenges in their territories.

Wetlands governance tools from the Maristanis project and the participatory co-management approaches to traditional artisanal fisheries promoted by the FISHMPABLE2 project will be addressed through this capacity building session taking place in Sfax, Tunisia on 10 March 2023, co-led by project partners MedCities, MedSea and the Municipality of Sfax assisted by local experts.

Artisanal fisheries is one of the topics addressed by ENSERES, as in the case of the Tunisian Kneiss Islands where ENSERES supports the Kaifa project through the sub-grants scheme, promoting tradition and gender rights in fisheries.
