What is the SEACAP 4 SDG project?

SEACAP 4 SDG aimed to foster the integration of Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plans (SE(A)CAP) within a unified framework, guided by a shared vision, strategy, and assessment tool. This initiative sought to harmonize assessment and funding methodologies across the Mediterranean region, all in pursuit of sustainable development objectives within a technologically advanced society.

Drawing upon the results of 10 distinct projects, SEACAP 4 SDG identified common attributes to standardize and adapted the acquired knowledge to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of energy retrofitting strategies. These strategies were specifically tailored to address unique regional considerations, particularly with regard to energy poverty. The resulting insights and outcomes were applied in nine Mediterranean cities, following a selection process developed in collaboration with the European City Facility initiative.

With this wrap-up video we would like to summarize the outcomes of the project, highlighting its achievements, and thank the team members for their contributions.
