Last December, the DECOST project partners who are leading the implementation of the pilot experience about community composting in Basilicata, Italy, had a new opportunity to share the expectations of the new organic waste management system with local citizens. The presentation to the citizens of Atella was a significant opportunity to inform and educate the community about the new composters and the real-time monitoring tools that have been implemented to manage it. These tools are used to monitor and measure various parameters, such as temperature and emissions, and provide important information for the overall operation and management of the composter.

The event also served as a platform to create awareness about the importance of proper waste management and the role that citizens play in the success of the project. Furthermore, the presentation provided an opportunity to showcase the progress that has already been made in the city of Potenza and the benefits that have been achieved through this partnership.
