ARTOLIO, the innovative project that supports small-scale extra virgin olive oil producers in the Mediterranean basin, announces exclusive marketing strategy workshops for its beneficiaries.

These workshops will initially be held in the geographical locations of the beneficiaries, to facilitate their attendance and maximise their benefit, although it is possible that part of them will be held remotely to unify schedules and attendance.

The training day and implementation support will be provided by Jesús Gordillo, Head of Communication and Marketing at ARTOLIO, and Head of Strategy at Kellenföl Ad. With extensive experience in the sector, Gordillo has a deep knowledge of the latest marketing trends and tools, which guarantees a high quality and effective training for the beneficiaries of the project.

ARTOLIO Comunicatión's marketing strategy workshops are designed to provide beneficiaries with personalised and practical training in the creation and implementation of effective and clear marketing strategies. Participants will learn how to identify opportunities, optimise resources and develop campaigns that generate tangible results for their production.

In order to adapt to the specific needs of each beneficiary, the workshops will be held in the geographical locations of the participants, allowing for greater flexibility and a more focused approach to the particularities of each region and sector. This modality guarantees a more comfortable, personalised and effective learning experience for the participants.

Some of the topics to be reviewed:

  • Situation analysis: Identify the challenges and opportunities faced by small-scale extra virgin olive oil producers in the context of the ARTOLIO ENI CBC MED project.
  • Objectives: To set clear and measurable targets to increase profitability, resilience and job creation in rural areas, while promoting environmental sustainability.
  • Segmentation and positioning: Identify and segment potential customers and markets for the extra virgin olive oil produced by the project beneficiaries. Develop a competitive and differentiated positioning.
  • Marketing and communication strategies: Develop effective tactics to promote the product, including the use of social media, public relations, advertising, content marketing and events.
  • Distribution channels: Identify and establish efficient distribution channels to reach consumers and target markets.
  • Implementation and monitoring: Establish a timeline and action plan for implementing the marketing and communication strategies, as well as a performance monitoring and evaluation system.
  • Training and support: Take advantage of the marketing strategy workshops offered by ARTOLIO Comunicación and the experience of Jesús Gordillo to strengthen the beneficiaries' skills and knowledge in marketing and communication.

This workshop aims to guide the beneficiaries of the project, but it does not replace training, as the time for counseling is limited.

As Jesús Gordillo says, "we consider it more important to know what they have to do and where they should go (or not), than to give extensive training in social media, seo, sem".

The first confirmed workshops (for beneficiaries of the project) are:

  • Marketing Jaén | from 27th to 29th June 2023
  • Marketing Thessaloniki | 24-28 July 2023
  • Marketing Kalamata | from 24 to 28 July 2023

The rest of the events will be confirmed according to the availability of the farmers and their area managers.

In this first edition, only beneficiaries of the project can participate, as they are a priority.

From September 2023, the project will start to open its doors to the rest of the small Mediterranean producers, and they will be able to join the ARTOLIO platform and its benefits (training, consultancy, presentation to awards, representation, attendance to events).

ARTOLIO ENI CBC MED expects the marketing strategy workshops to be a valuable tool to boost the growth and success of the beneficiaries in their respective markets.

The ARTOLIO ENI CBC MED project is an initiative funded by the European Union that seeks to support small-scale extra virgin olive oil producers in Mediterranean countries such as Israel, Palestine, Greece, Cyprus, Spain. Its main objective is to improve business management, innovation and knowledge sharing among these producers through a digital platform that connects farmers with potential customers. In addition, ARTOLIO organises events and workshops so that producers can learn about the latest trends in advertising and marketing, as well as evaluate the organoleptic results of the oils produced and determine their level of quality.
